This Summer is not like the other summers or like we called a “normal summer”. I’m from Miami Florida, the sunshine state and the epicenter of the Coronavirus. Despite of the Covid19 outbreak the beaches here are full of people. This vacation is going to be a little different. I decided to take a break from Miami beaches out fear of catching the virus, but that does not mean that It will stop me from having a great summer. I’m going to include in my bullet journal everything that I am missing due to social distancing.
Today I want to share with you some amazing ideas that you will love for your summer spreads.
Flowers
In my summer bullet journal spreads I use tropical flower. I love Hibiscus flowers since it blooms in mid late summer. Hibiscus flower are typically white, pink, lavender, red or burgundy. On my designs I used red, pink and yellow Hibiscus with green tropical leaves.

I love this weekly habit tracker because is it very colorful. I used different colors in each activity that I did that week. But what I love the is that I included my favorite animal, the little fox.
Tropical Leaves
What better than a summer day breathing the fresh air surrounded by palm trees and tropical leaves. In my spreads I include very bright green leaves. Most of the time I used the leaf to create like a frame that accompanying the Hibiscus flower.
Coconut Palm
I am from the Caribbean, and one of the things I remember when I was a child was the summers that my mother used to take me and my friends to the beach. We used to sit under the palm trees to drink coconut water and tell stories. That’s why I like to include it in my bullet journal because it reminds me of those beautiful moments and even the smell of the sea.
Tropical Birds
I also like to use flamingo, toucan and colorful parrots. These tropical birds give a Hawaiian look to my spreads. Colors play an important role on my summer spreads.
Ocean
In this Habit Tracker I tried to do like an underwater spread, with the star fish, turtle, octopus, sea horses, jelly fish and different kind of fishes (I also include Dory and Nemo) I love habit trackers because they don’t require that much time in terms of design.
Ice cream
Come on, who doesn’t like ice cream? Specially on a hot sunny day. In this mood tracker the ice cream flavor and the colors are what represent my mood day by day. You can also do this with popsicles or drinks.
Beach day
I love to include object like beach ball, raft, drinks and colorful flip flop. I also include fruits stickers like watermelon and coconut.
I love to use emojis on my spreads that reflect activities that I did that day. The emoji that I used it are from the Bitmoji App. I’m in love with this app and I had a lot fun with my emojis. You can even customize the emoji to look like you. I really recommend this app, specially if you are tired of writing in your journal, you can highlight your activities with your customize emoji.
Quotes
I love to include among my weekly spreads or the monthly cover page quotes that have to do with the season in which we are in or motivational, self-help and leadership quotes. These that I included last month are about the summer and the sea. I made them all with the same theme and I loved how they turned out.
4th of July
If you are from the USA, you cannot miss the 4th of July spread with the colors of the flag: white, red, blue and the fireworks show. I made the July 2019 calendar with the theme of the independence day of the United States. In my calendar, as you can see, I like to include the payments of my credit cards, my pay day and my medical or dental appointments. It’s a very great way to remember the important task.
So blow your imagination this summer of corona virus and try to reflect everything you wanted this summer in your spreads and you will see that you are going to have a lot of fun in a new way. Take care a lot and thanks for reading my blog.
